NeonRoute
Terms of Use · Last updated November 3, 2026 (free ride sharing added)
Agreement
NeonRoute (the website and Android app) is operated by Meridian Apex Horizon, 8 Fairmont St, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA. By using NeonRoute you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use NeonRoute. If you are under 18, use it only with a parent or guardian's permission.
Drive safely — use at your own risk
- Always obey traffic laws, road signs, signals and police directions. They take priority over anything NeonRoute shows or says.
- Do not handle your phone while driving. Set routes before you move, or have a passenger do it.
- Directions, speed limits, lane arrows, transit times, bike availability, reports and ETAs come from free public sources and other users and can be wrong, late or missing. Check the road and use your own judgment.
- Offline maps only show saved areas; new routes and searches need signal.
- NeonRoute is provided "as is", without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Meridian Apex Horizon is not liable for accidents, tickets, delays, losses or damages from using it.
Rides, taxis and transit
- NeonRoute is a map and comparison tool. It is not a transportation company, taxi or rideshare service. It never dispatches vehicles, sets or collects fares, or takes payment for rides.
- "Get a ride" only opens other services — such as Uber, Lyft, MBTA, Bluebikes or Google Maps — through their own official links. Your trip, price and payment are entirely between you and that service, under its terms. Uber, Lyft, MBTA, Bluebikes and Google Maps are trademarks of their owners, who do not endorse NeonRoute.
- Taxi listings are only for licensed taxi companies that give a license or medallion number, which we check before listing. Call the company directly; NeonRoute does not book or dispatch.
- "Ride together" only shares a destination with your group. Any cost sharing, like gas money, is between users and happens outside NeonRoute.
Free ride sharing
- Rides are free. Never pay or ask for money. Free rides on NeonRoute must have no fare, payment, tip, gas money, gift, favor or any other compensation — inside or outside the app. NeonRoute takes no money for rides.
- You must be 18 or older, add a real face photo and verify an email to use free rides.
- Free rides are arranged between users, who may be strangers. NeonRoute does not employ, screen, background-check or insure drivers or riders and does not guarantee anyone's identity, behavior, driving or vehicle. You ride or drive at your own risk.
- To offer rides to everyone (strangers), drivers must upload a photo of the front of their driver's license for review and get the License verified badge. Rides among friends, followers or a group don't need it. Drivers show riders a public driver profile: photo, first name, rating, ride count, car make, color and plate, badge and member-since date. A verified badge means we checked a license photo once; it is not a background check.
- Drivers must hold a valid license and insurance, drive a road-legal vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
- Anyone reported by their ride partner for asking for money or other compensation is banned. Other reports, blocks and SOS are always available, and we may remove anyone to keep people safe.
- Pickup spots show as approximate until both people accept; then both see the exact pickup and each other live on the map until the ride ends.
Sponsored items, referrals and affiliate links
Items marked Sponsored or Promoted are paid placements. Some links (for example referral codes and bike, scooter, car rental or parking links) are referral or affiliate links: we may earn a referral fee if you sign up or buy. This never changes your price, and it is disclosed next to the link, as the FTC requires.
Payments
Boosts and NeonRoute Plus are paid through Stripe Checkout. Card details go straight to Stripe; NeonRoute never sees or stores card numbers. Plus renews monthly until you cancel. Boosts run for the days you buy and are not refunded once started, unless the law requires it.
Your content and conduct
- You are responsible for posts, comments, photos, videos and reports you share. Do not post anything illegal, threatening, hateful, sexual involving minors, or anything that reveals someone's home or private information.
- Do not file false road reports, spam, harass people, or try to break or overload NeonRoute.
- Reported content may be hidden automatically until reviewed. We may remove content and block devices that break these rules, including repeat false reporters.
- You keep ownership of your content and give us permission to show it inside NeonRoute.
Location sharing
Live location sharing is off (Hidden) by default. If you choose to share, only the people you pick see you, and you can stop any time. Do not use NeonRoute to track someone without their consent.
Takedowns and contact
To report content, request a takedown (including copyright claims) or ask a question, call (857) 520-3500 or write to Meridian Apex Horizon, 8 Fairmont St, Cambridge, MA 02139. See also the Privacy Policy and Support.

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use NeonRoute means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, USA.
